The book of Exodus continues the story begun in Genesis and establishes God’s pattern of redemption. Israel’s deliverance from Egypt reveals how God saves His people, forms a covenant, and calls them to obedience. The covenant at Sinai, the blessings and curses, and the tabernacle all show God’s desire to dwell with His people. Exodus lays the foundation for the rest of Scripture, pointing to God as the Redeemer who brings His people from slavery into freedom.
