Jerry Joy
Elder at Westmount Bible Chapel
Jerry Joy bridges the gap between a global background and local ministry. Ethnically East Indian and raised in Bahrain, Jerry comes from a lineage of faithful grandparents who served as missionaries in India. He moved to Canada at age 18, giving him the unique perspective of living faithfully across Muslim, Hindu, and post-Christian contexts.
Today, Jerry lives in the small town of Norwood, Ontario, and serves as an elder at Westmount Bible Chapel, a rural church in Peterborough. He extends his ministry to ethnic churches in the Greater Toronto Area, encouraging saints to see that life's true fulfillment can be found in living by faith and awaiting the rule of Christ.
Uniquely, Jerry balances this ministry with a 20-year career in business and technology, currently serving as Director of Product Strategy for Carenet Health out of San Antonio. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM) and current PhD student, he hopes to show that serious Bible study, local-church ministry, a demanding career, and raising a family are possible by God’s grace. Jerry and his wife, Sunaina, are raising their four children - Zoe, Olivia, Eden, and Micah - in the Canadian countryside."
