Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament. God speaks through the prophet Malachi to remind His people of His love and to confront their sins. The priests were offering poor sacrifices, the people were being unfaithful in marriage, they were treating each other unjustly, and they were not giving their tithes.

God calls them to return to Him with sincere worship and obedience. He warns of judgment for the wicked but promises blessing for those who fear Him. Malachi also points ahead to a messenger who will prepare the way for the Messiah.

The book ends by urging God’s people to remember His commands and to wait for the coming of the Lord.
