Leviticus 20 records God’s commands to Israel concerning holiness, idolatry, family relationships, and sexual immorality. The Lord commanded Israel to separate themselves from the practices of the nations and to keep His statutes and judgments. God declared that He had set Israel apart from other peoples to belong to Him. This chapter emphasizes the seriousness of sin and calls God’s people to holiness and obedience because He is the Lord who sanctifies them.
