Chapter 26

Leviticus 26 sets before Israel the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience under God’s covenant. Faithfulness would bring peace, fruitfulness, and God’s presence among His people, while rebellion would bring increasing discipline, defeat, desolation, and exile. Yet God declares that if Israel confesses their sin, He will remember His covenant. Even in exile, He promises not to utterly destroy them or break His covenant. This chapter emphasizes obedience, judgment, repentance, and God’s covenant faithfulness.
