Chapter 6

Deuteronomy 6 calls God’s people to wholehearted devotion through the Shema: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” Israel is commanded to love the Lord with all the heart, soul, and strength, keeping His words on their hearts and teaching them to the next generation. This chapter shows that true faith is not outward ritual but obedient love that remembers God’s deliverance and lives in faithfulness to Him.
