Chapters 12:13-44 & 13
Jan 13, 2026 • Phil Porter, David Klingler
Mark chapters 11–13 record the final week of Jesus’ ministry in Jerusalem, where He confronts Israel’s leaders and reveals God’s purposes through Scripture. The triumphal entry, the cursed fig tree, and the parable of the vineyard show Israel’s history of rejecting God’s messengers and His Son. Jesus teaches about the temple, God’s image in humanity, and the coming fulfillment of God’s promises, calling readers to read Scripture faithfully and recognize that God’s redemptive plan is moving toward restoration according to His Word.
