Chapters 8:34-38 & 9

In the Gospel of Mark, the transfiguration reveals Jesus as the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, with Moses and Elijah bearing witness to Him. God’s voice declares Jesus as His beloved Son and commands all to listen to Him alone. As Israel rejects the Messiah, Mark highlights the necessity of faith, prayer, and repentance, seen in the cry, “I believe; help my unbelief.” These passages show that true discipleship requires wholehearted trust in Christ, not signs without faith, and that the kingdom of God calls for belief that leads to obedience.
